Analysis of Chemical and Pharmacological Substances

Chemical, biological and pharmacological substances can be checked for purity. Undetermined structures of such compounds can be characterised by one-dimensional or multi-dimensional measurements. A conformational analysis can be performed. With regards to isometric mixtures, the isometric purity of the corresponding substances may be determined in the majority of cases.

For structural determination of substances one of the most important requirements is the assignment of resonance signals within the NMR spectra. If this cannot be achieved by one-dimensional spectroscopy, INFAI will be able to effect the assignment using two or three-dimensional measurements.

In many cases otherwise elusive intermediates and/or by-products from chemical synthesis may be recognised and characterised at an early stage. Consequently, huge cost-savings can be benefited during the development of new substances or optimisation of production processes.
